Jaheim to release new album "Ghetto Classics"
Vocalist Jaheim has set December 13th as the release date for his third album, to be titled Ghetto Classics. The singer has already previewed the new set with the single "Everytime I Think About Her" featuring Jadakiss, which has climbed to Number 39 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.
Ghetto Classics will feature production by Scott Storch, KayGee, Giz, Eric Williams & Wesley Hodges, and others. Jaheim’s last album outing was 2002’s Still Ghetto, which sold 1.19 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. He debuted in 2001 with Ghetto Love.
The singer was discovered
by KayGee of Naughty By Nature, who subsequently signed the singer to his Divine
Mill label. KayGee has broken several acts, including Zhane, Next, Jaheim, and
his latest, Koffee Brown. Jaheim explained to us that Divine Mill is a close-knit
family of artists:"KayGee got a gold mine, he working on trying to develop
his Divine Mill, you know, and we doing just that. Divine Mill is coming together,
man. We’re family, we’re coming strong. Divine means pure, mill means factory.
We’re a factory of talent, I mean raw talent. And, I mean, you hear it man:
Koffee Brown, Jaheim, Next. I mean, Kay Gee got an ear, man."
