Jay-Z scores 10th No 1 album with American Gangster

Jay-Z scores his tenth #1 album with American Gangster moving 425,000 units in its first go-around.

Jay-Z last project Kingdom Come was released last year and also came out in November moving 680,000 copies in its first week for a total of 2 millions records sold.

Chris Brown debuted at #4 in this week charts with his album Exclusive selling 294,000 copies. The album includes his latest single Kiss Kiss featuring T-Pain.

Cassidy manage a successful comeback in the game with his album B.A.R.S. (The Barry Adrian Reese Story) landing at #10 in the charts and pushing 63,000 copies. The album features production from Swizz Beatz as usual but also features beats from Neo Da Matrix, Notts, Hi Tek, Bink, Kanye West and Cassidy himself.

Kanye West is pushing another 31,636 units which gives Graduation a strong total of 1,644,201 CDs sold. 50 Cent moves 17,482 copies of Curtis for a total of 1,086,910 units.

Elsewhere in the Charts : Soulja Boy is still hot and sells 32,396 units (total : 301,447). DTP Playaz Circle has 11,261 additionnal fans copping their album Supply & Demand (total : 37,529).

And Nas Greatest Hits only sells 6857 copies despite two new singles.

Next week, look for Freeway and Cormega albums to appear on the charts.
