Hip-Hop Album Sales Report : The Game is #2

SoundScan numbers were adjusted this afternoon resulting in Game’s album landing at number 2. The rapper sold 238,382 copies, but rockers Slipknot pushed 239, 516 copies to debut at the top spot. XXLmag.com will have more on this as it develops.

The Game’s previous album, The Doctor’s Advocate debuted at 358,988 on its first week. Lil Wayne is still doing impressive numbers after 12 weeks in the charts, even gaining one spot at #6 with 54,030, a total of 2,316,064.

Beyonce’s sister, Solange, makes the top 10 at #9 with 46,291 units sold. For his second week on the charts, Ice Cube sold 30,330 albums and has reached 100,000 sales.

His third album was not promoted that great but from what I observed no one has gotten any promotion. It is a phenominal album. I mean if you like Game this album hot from start to finish. To me, this is what The Doctor’s Advocate should have sounded like. The beats blew my mind and his rapping and his subject matter was amazing to me. People who didn’t like it must be G Unit groupies because this is hot ! I’ve been a huge fan for over 10 years. It does not get better than this album these days as matter of fact it gets worse nowadays. Great album

Games album wasn’t promoted good enough,he should of dropped a mixtape before it came out. Im a fan of game but I have to say this album was his worst, he had hot singles though ! Jeezy album is FIRE !!! How much he sale ?
