Fat Joe decides to stay with Atlantic records

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Fat Joe and Atlantic Records were on the outs and that the rapper was in the process of negotiating a new deal with Asylum Records. Allhiphop.com reports that Fat Joe has renegotiated with Atlantic Records and the label will now distribute his Terror Squad label.

Atlantic Records COO and Co-Chairman Craig Kallman said, "Fat Joe is an icon in the hip-hop community — an artist, producer, writer, tastemaker, and entrepreneur with tremendous vision, influence, and creativity. We are proud to have had Fat Joe as a member of the Atlantic family for the past eight years, and we are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Joe and his Terror Squad label."

Fat Joe also issued a statement that read, "I have no problems with Atlantic, I did not get dropped from Atlantic. We negotiated a new deal and now Terror Squad Records is distributed through Atlantic."
