Fat Joe Gets a Grammy Nomination for "Make It Rain"

One of New York City’s finest and respected MCs, Fat Joe has achieved another accomplishment in his exciting career. Fat Joe’s Grammy nomination comes on the heels of the news that, "Make It Rain (featuring Lil’ Wayne)" has surpassed the 1 million ring tone sales milestone, and 1 million full song downloads was certified Platinum in RIAA’s Digital Ringtone program. Me, Myself & I, released on Terror Squad Entertainment through Imperial Records/Virgin in 2006 continues to sell and make a strong statement for independent music. Some of the other impressive milestones Imperial has accomplished with Fat Joe and Terror Squad include Imperial’s first Top 10 single in more than 40 years, "Make It Rain (featuring Lil’ Wayne)" on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Chart, peaking at #6. The single also reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The album Me, Myself & I, peaking at #3 on the Billboard R&B/Hiphop Album Chart, debuting at #14 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. The album also received rave reviews in VIBE, the Source, Washington Post and the LA Times among other publications.
His first official single is already blowing up, "I Won’t Tell (featuring J. Holiday)". The song is already exploding at radio stations across the country and rapidly heading to the #1 spot on the charts ! The street single, "The Crackhouse (featuring Lil’ Wayne)" is destined to be the next hustler’s anthem. The video for "I Won’t Tell (featuring J. Holiday)" was filmed last month in Miami during DJ Khaled’s big, holiday weekend and directed by Gil Greene (he also directed "We Taking Over" by DJ Khaled). The video is a star-studded, extravaganza, reminiscent of the Notorious B.I.G.’s "One More Chance," some of the celebrity cameos include, Bow Wow, LL Cool J, Diddy, Cristina Millian, Junior Reid, Mario Winans, Pitbull, and Flo Rida. Fat Joe is #1 most added this week at Urban Mainstream radio. Station highlights WWPR New York, WPHI Philly, KMEL- San Fran, WPWX- Chicago, KKDA Dallas, WHRK- Memphis, and WJLB Detroit.
Fat Joe has been in the studio all summer creating his new album, The Elephant In The Room the album will be in stores March 11th, 2008. The album features multiplatinum producers, Scott Storch, Cool & Dre, Danja Handz, Terror Squad artist, DJ Khaled, and impressive, up and comers, The Runners and LV. In addition to these powerhouse producers the album also features guest artist, Lil Wayne, Diddy, J. Holiday, Rick Ross and Dre of Cool and Dre.
