--- EVE Biography:

Born and raised in Philly, Jihan Jeffers started her career as part of a five-girl cover group when she was a young teenager. From advice from her manager, Eve took up rapping. Eve grew up with her mom, natural grandmother, and many aunts. But, she was an only child till the age of 15 when her younger brother Fanrod was born. In high school she started a group called EDJP (Egypt) with a friend named Jennifer, who eventually decided to go to Pennsylvania Lincoln University. So Eve went solo.

Her future managers, Mark and Sherman Byres and Sadig Know, set up an audition for Eve with Michael Lynn, former president of Aftermath Records. She was soon sent to Cali to work with Dr. Dre. They created a three-song demo. One of the songs, "Eve of Destruction" was featured on the Bullworth Soundtrack, Dr. Dre was too busy to work with Eve anymore and she was sent back to Philly.

Eve got a break by getting in on "You Got Me" by the Roots. Unfortunately it was miconstrived that it was Erika Badhu that was rapping. To make matters worse she was not included in the video for the song.Joafuin, Darrin, and Chivon Dean, Ruff Ryder’s management team, gave Eve a change to rap on the Ruff Ryder’s’ compilation. Eve finally blew up when "What You Want" became a hit.Eve has also been featured in songs "Girlfriend\Boyfirend" by Black Street and "Ruff Ryder’s’ Anthem" by DJ Clue.Swiss Beats did most of the production on her new album, which ended up hurting the album, because it did not provided a mix of beats.
