Eminem make donation to Hip Hop 4 Habitat
Eminem made a contribution to Hip Hop 4 Habitat through his Marshall Mathers Foundation to help the organization meet its goal of building a house for a needy family in Detroit. The Detroit News reports that Eminem’s contribution helps to launch the program which calls for members of the hip hop community to work together to build a house. Rapper Trick Trick will perform a free concert for the volunteers once the project is completed.
Hip Hop 4 Habitat is seeking $75,000 to help complete the project that calls for the organization to build an 1,100 square foot house on the east side of Detroit during one week in October.
Alyce Hartman, founder of A Prophetic Generation, told the paper, "Hip Hop 4 Habitat is meant to be a positive project and a way for the hip-hop community to come together and support a family in need. We’re so thankful Trick and Eminem are leading this effort."
A Prophetic Generation and Habitat for Humanity Detroit have partnered for the project as Hip Hop 4 Habitat. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Habitat for Humanity Detroit at (313)521-6691.
