Critical
Acclaim :
Winner of the prestigious Peabody Award in 2003, Russell Simmons Presents Def
Poetry delivers a different sort of television with sublime, rhyming
attitude (Detroit Free Press). A treat and a triumph (The
New York Daily News), Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry is an exuberant,
daring, fresh series that breaks poetry out of the little boxes
it is so often put in (The New York Times). With its drama, its
driving rhythms and its grab-you-by-the-lapels intensity, the Def Poetry is
a natural for TV (The Cincinnati Enquirer).
