DR. DRE DONATES $1Million TO HURRICANE-HIT FAMILYS

Dr. Dre has dipped into his personal fortune to donate $1 million to 50 hurricane-affected families. He has donated the cash through the Julia C Hester House, a Texas, organisation which will give $20,000 to each of the 50 families in need. The families were chosen after a needs assessment based on criteria established by Dr. Dre. "I wanted to be sure that my donation did two things: went directly into the hands of hurricane victims and that it was an amount that could really impact their lives and make a difference."
