Broward County holds what some would say, “South Florida’s Hip–Hop best kept secrets.” Another rising star from the area is Plug Entertainment’s artist, Doe Boy da Dope Boy. His new digital EP “Fresh out the Kitchen”, which was released on August 21, 2010, will prove that he wants his dose of the limelight, and he doesn’t plan on stopping until he gets his fair share. Doe Boy’s delivery and captivating sound can be appreciated by anyone that’s in love with that Southern Swag, and music with meaning.
“Fresh out the Kitchen” consist of real life issue and topics that many can find relatable. It begins with the street banger “Testify” produced by, Demolish, which sets the tone for the EP. Throughout “Fresh out the Kitchen” Doe Boy speaks on some personal topics like being robbed, family issues, and the “street life”. After hearing Doe Boy’s project, CTE VP and Popular DJ, Bigga Rankin said, “He’s like a breath of fresh air with good lyrics and delivery. He really can Rap!” Bigga Rankin was so impressed with his music he offered to host Doe Boy’s “Fresh Out the Kitchen Mixtape”
His recognition has taken new heights, which landed him the cover of Ace Magazine’s August 2010 issue, and he was invited to perform at the “Peace in the Hood Festival” in Miami on Aug 12, 2010. When Doe Boy was asked what he wanted listeners to gain from “Fresh out the Kitchen” he said, “This is good quality music based on true events. Nothing but REAL quality music comes out of Plug Entertainment.”
