DMX Arrested In Phoenix Mall
DMX was arrested in Phoenix on Saturday (July 19) as the result of an incident in April in which he is claimed to have used someone else’s identity when paying for hospital treatment.
The 37-year-old rapper, born Earl Simmons, is alleged to have checked into the Scottsdale Mayo clinic in Arizona on April 15 to receive treatment for chest pains and shortness of breath using the name Troy Jones while providing a fake address and social security number in an attempt to avoid paying the $7,500 bill for his treatment.
"He’s back
in jail again," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told the Associated
Press. "I don’t know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he
goes in there, he gets out on bond ... I’m hoping this is the one time he’s
going to pay the penalty for his offense."
