DMX Arrested In Miami

DMX is set to break the record for most arrested rapper following his arrest last Monday (June 23) in Miami on a warrant for not having a valid driver’s license.

The 37-year-old rapper, born Early Simmons, was arrested by Miami Dade County Police at around 1:30 p.m. and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute.

Simmons has been in an out of jail cells over the last two years with the most recent incident occurring in May when he was charged with suspicion of drug possession and animal cruelty after a police raid on his Arizona home uncovered 12 "distressed" pitbulls. The raid came as a result of an investigation into animal cruelty charges against DMX.

Earlier in the year Simmons was arrested for speeding after being clocked doing 114 mph on a Phoenix freeway. He was charged with reckless driving, endangerment, speeding and driving with a suspended license.
