Punch’ DJ Conference: "DJs for Life"

Birmingham-based music organisation Punch has announced the launch of ‘DJs for Life’, a groundbreaking conference and event celebrating worldwide DJ culture. Taking place in Birmingham on the 9th and 10th of December, DJs for Life is set to be this year’s biggest event in the DJ calendar.

DJs have, in recent years, established themselves as a prominent force in the music industry. Arbiters of taste, superstars of the club scene and global icons for a generation of young music fans, their influence is huge.

DJs for Life features discussion, debate, master classes and performances from some of the world most influential DJs including The Original Jazzy Jay (legendary DJ and Producer), GrandWizzard Theodore (credited with inventing the scratch), Steve Dee (inventor of beat juggling and founder of the X-Men), Rob Swift (formally of the X-ecutioners), D-Styles (Gunkhole), DJ Quest (Bullet Proof Space Travellers), DJ Supreme (legendary UK DJ formally of Hijack), Cutmaster Swift (twice world DMC champion), the Scratch Perverts, DJ Woody, Phil Asher, Shortie Blitz, Tigerstyle, Benji B, Charlie Dark, Normski and many more.

DJ for Life takes place on the 9th and 10th of December with conference sessions on both days at the Drum Arts Centre, Birmingham and a huge nightclub event on the 9th December at Air Nightclub, Birmingham.

The UK’s biggest ever DJ event, this is a rare opportunity to see legends of the DJ world discuss their art form, pass on their skills and perform. For all the details check out the project website at www.djsforlife.com.
