D12’s Swift Jailed
D12’s Swift has been jailed over a probation violation after he missed a court hearing earlier this week to attend the funeral of band mate Proof, who was shot and killed on April 11.
An arrest warrant was issued for Swift, born Ondre Moore, when he failed to make the set court data and he was arrested yesterday (April 20) in Novi, Detroit, Michigan. District Court Judge Brian MacKenzie sentenced the rapper to 93 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation.
31-year-old Moore tested positive for alcohol despite being on a probation condition that required him to stay alcohol and drug free following a plea deal he made last October when he was caught drink-driving. During a court appearance in October, the rapper failed a court drug test and was jailed for two days.
Judge Brian Mackenzie of Novi County was aware that Swift attended the funeral but issued the warrant anyway because the rapper has allegedly failed to comply with his probation.
