Ciara and Bow Wow call it quits

Teen sweeties Ciara and Bow Wow have confirmed that they are no longer a couple. The 20-year-old vocalist known as the Princess of Crunk ’N’B and the 19-year-old rapper dated for about a year but actually called it quits a few months back. Bow Wow confirmed the split by telling Teen People, "Ciara and I have parted ways. I wish her all the best."

The Atlanta-based pair collaborated on record as well as in life: Ciara guested on the track "Like You" from Bow Wow’s 2005 album Wanted; the track peaked at Number Three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Rumors that the two were engaged were fueled when Ciara began sporting a ring from Bow Wow, but both played down the bauble as simply a gift.

Meanwhile Bow Wow continues to further his film career. The Roll Bounce star is currently filming The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift.
