Chris Brown turns to Police after an alleged assault of a female

The LAPD has charged Chris Brown with felony battery after they received a 911 call from an unidentified female with injuries. The Recording Academy confirmed that neither Rihanna, nor Brown attended tonight’s Grammy ceremonies.

The alleged assault took place at or near Hancock Park in L.A early on February 8.

According to police, Chris Brown and a woman whom cops refuse to identify were arguing inside a vehicle around 12:30 this morning when suddenly things allegedly turned violent. Cops say Chris Brown had left the scene by the time police arrived.

Rihanna’s absence stemmed from a car accident the singer was involved in on Sunday morning, according to Entertainment Tonight. A Grammy representative told the news show that Rihanna’s face is slightly bruised from the accident.
