Capone-n-Noreaga (CNN)
Album : The War Report
Release Date : June 17, 1997
Label : Penalty Records
Customer Review :
CNN continued the Queens tradtion in the 90’s with a clasic debut banger, the beats on here are beyond gutter and the Mc’s Tragedy, Capone and EVEN Nore (He sux now and after this pretty much) did more than hold their own. I can’t tell you standout songs because there are so many, faves are Illegal Life, Iraq See The World, Bloody Money, LA LA, Neva Die Alone and so on, this album has too many to name off the top of the dome. If you like hardcore East Coast Queens style rap at it’s best then this album is for you, hardly any commercial stuff at all just staright up gutter music. TO the guy who said it was average you must be a commercial rap type fan, and the other guy who said you can’t even tell this is Nore on here and he raps different and his flow is different now (You like him better now too you said) you just wildin, his lyrics were actually good now and he rhymed then and didn’t stress his voice or punchlines too much on this album, dude is just straight up wack now to say the least, he was DOPE according to MOST real fans and fell off after this album. Go get this if you want a real classic from the 90’s, this is too dope to sleep on.

The legendary QB duo CNN,s first album was a fuckin dope one. From the jump with tracks like the classic Blood Money you can tell this is a classic street album, just straight dope thugged out lyrics, with bass heavy murky beats. TONY, Blood money, parole violaters, illegal life are just some sick tracks I can think of off the top of my head. If you like rap definitley cop this and see what the hype around this classic disc is about.
