Review :

KOCH Records will release C-Murder’s new album, The Truest **** I Ever Said on March 22nd. Working and recording while serving time, C-Murder has assembled an amazing array of artists that will appear on the album including Soulja Slim, B.G., Akon, Capone and many more. C-Murder is back and better than ever on his first single, “Y’all Heard,” which features southern hip hop favorite B.G. and will be going for adds at urban radio shortly. A video for the single, shot in prison and New Orleans, will be available in mid-February. The song is already garnering huge radio phones in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Talking about his new album, C-Murder says “This record is real street ; I’m kickin’ it back to the streets. It’s about the trials and tribulations of my life. People will be able to relate to it.”

C-Murder first burst onto the hip hop scene as a member of TRU, a trio super-group that also featured his brothers Master P and Silkk The Shocker. Their first album, True, was released in 1995 and was followed by Tru 2 Da Game in 1997. During that year, C-Murder appeared on a number of No Limit releases, including Master P’s Ghetto D and the I’m Bout It soundtrack. In the spring of 1998, he finally released his solo debut, Life or Death. Bossalinie followed a year later. In 2000, C-Murder reached superstar status, first with his appearance in the 504 Boyz smash hit, “Wobble Wobble” ; then with his third and most successful album yet, Trapped in Crime, propelled by the commercial success of its C-Murder/Snoop Dogg/Magic collaboration, “Down for My N’s.” This album also signaled the launch of Tru Records, C-Murder’s new label. His 2000 release, Tru Dawgs, was preceded by tragedy when C-Murder was arrested and sentenced in a controversial nightclub shooting. He went to jail right after the album was finished and has been there ever since.

Now, four years later, The Truest **** I Ever Said will remind C-Murder fans about just what they’ve been missing.

C-Murder is by far the reallest gangsta rap artist and is too bad dat da goverment wants to shut him down... He his one of the rare MCs still keepin it real remaining today. Most nowadays "rappers" (should be called "actors") forgot what rap waz made for... Was’nt made to make money and it was’nt made to make people dance... But it’s ok... Y’all can get "crunked" while I feel C’s poetic lyrical inspiration. This album is yet another underground classic dat has all my respect...

I think it’s a shame how they sentenced him tp life in prison without any evidence. The lead witness even said that she didn’t see a gun in his hand, she only saw sparks.I think they need someone to blame and they picked him because he was in the club that night. I think his music and his rap name is being used against him to formulate facts that he committed the crime.
