Busta rhymes "Touch it Remix" video
Busta Rhymes has broken his silence over the recent killing of one of his bodyguards, launching a blistering attack on the media in the aftermath of the death. Busta, who was shooting a video in Brooklyn last month when Israel Ramirez was gunned down by an unnamed assailant, has kept a low-profile since the shooting.
However, he took the opportunity at a show on Long Island, New York, at the weekend to defend himself, amid claims from the NYPD that he was yet to come forward with a statement. Headlining a show for New York radio station Power 105.1, Busta ranted from the stage: "The media is trying to make me look like a real sh*tbag! They got a ni**a looking real crazy." Busta also spoke openly about the events of the day, explaining that he and the many other music stars on-hand for the filming of the promo were simply there to make the video, when the tragedy occurred.
He said: "We went to work that day. We were having a productive day when unfortunate situations transpired and killed my friend." Speaking about that night’s show he concluded: "But we’re going to have fun honoring Izzy’s name...F*ck the media." source: aftermathmusic.com
