Bow Wow officially announced that he signed with Cash Money Records, joining Birdman, Lil Wayne, Drake and the Young Money Crew.
Bow Wow explained his move on his twitter page : "It’s the triple threat Bow, Wayne, Drake. Its about to be real stupid," Bow explained, via a UStream session. "Any Bow Wow fan that I let down ... what I am getting ready to do, I got y’all. I apologize to the fans that I let down. It’s finna to go down. Its on now, baby. Me, Drake and Weezy … let’s get to the money."
A couple of weeks ago, he was still considering joining TI’s label Grand Hustle or joining forces with his mentor Jermaine Dupri to relaunch So So Def : "How many yall think I should sign with atlantic records n get wit T.I.?," he wrote on Sunday (July 19). "Gand hustle homie! Mr kev liles hopefully ill see yall tuesday. Or should I help jd rebuild so so def. Man up become a boss. And sign sum n*ggas that will bring us bk to da so so def yall luv n remember?"
R&B star and frequent Bow Wow collaborator, Omarion, signed with partner label Young Money recently as well (as hinted by KarenCivil).
Since his 2000 debut, Bow Wow had been signed to Columbia/So So Def with Jermaine Dupri, and has dropped six albums during that time.
What do you think of this move, will it allow Bow Wow to be back in the game or like Rizoh do you think that this is career suicide?
