Black eyed Peas new album
The Black Eyed Peas have announced details of their new album, to be released next year.
The band’s next release will have social and political themes, though they are hoping not to alienate their fan base with their more thought-provoking songs.
The group is almost done with the project. "Almost finisihed," will said of the LP. However, he also mentioned that the Black eyed Peas had a lot of recording left. "We have 12 songs...and we’ll probably do another 30 or 40 songs," he told Billboard.
"But it’s still fun," he said. "It’s a thinking record. It brings up what’s happening in the world. Monkey Business didn’t do that."
Will.i.am reckons Fergie and the boys had to stay true to themselves to produce the new material. He said: "We’re afraid of losing what got us here - humbleness and hunger.” "It’s easier now than it was in 1996.”
The group released their last album, Monkey Business, in 2005. It’s been a busy year for the Peas: they’ve also released a DVD entitled Live from Sydney to Vegas, and have been nominated in the best group category at next year’s Grammys.
