Bigg Snoop Dogg’s Youth Authority documentary

The life of U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg is set to be part of a Spike TV documentary entitled Bigg Snoop Dogg’s Youth Authority: California. AllHipHop.com reported that the documentary, which is scheduled to be cablecast Jan. 16 on Spike TV, will feature the Gin and Juice rapper discussing his history of gang violence and involvement with the California Youth Authority. As part of the hourlong special, the 35-year-old rapper will draw from the experiences of others who endured a similar upbringing in an area full of youth violence.

It also includes some biographical information like Snoop’s tenure in California’s juvenile facility known as ’Youth Authority’. In one scene Snoop is seen crying when he meets a young gang member who calls himself ’Lil Tookie’ named after one of Snoop’s closest friends, the late Tookie Williams.

In drastically different news, the Web site announced that the rapper’s new horror film, Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror, will hit U.S. theaters in February. For the horror anthology, Snoop Dogg will play the Hound of Hell who tells the horrifying tales of several inner-city residents whose futures hang in the balance based on their choices.
