Beanie Sigel Found Guilty of Assault
Philadelphia emcee Beanie Sigel found himself in court again on Tuesday. This time Sigel was there to plead guilty to an assault charge brought on from a 2003 incident, which took place outside of a Chinese restaurant. Beanie Sigel pleaded guilty to assault today, January 10.
Sigel will not serve jail
time for this offense. The rapper was sentenced to two years probation and fined
$180 in court costs at the Philadelphia courtroom today. Sigel was charged after
he broke a man’s left eye socket in a fight outside a restaurant. The case was
the last in a series of criminal charges against Sigel, who has a long arrest
record dating back to his youth in Philadelphia. Fortunato N. Perri Jr., Sigel’s
lawyer told the Associated Press that the rapper will continue to "make
music, make movies and work on his clothing line."
