Barack Obama to feature on Q-Tip’s new album

A Tribe Called Quest rapper Q-Tip has reportedly secured the services of democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama for his upcoming album, "The Renaissance" due in stores this June.

"I’ve got Norah Jones on there, but Barack is the big one," Q-Tip told the New York Post’s Page Six. "You’ll see what happens, I can’t reveal too much."

"The Renaissance" will also feature guest appearances from Norah Jones and Spike Lee.

Q-Tip’s previous album, 1999’s "Amplified," got to no. 28 on the Billboard 200 upon its release featuring the hit single "Vibrant Thing." A follow-up was recorded in 2002 called "Kamaal The Abstract," but never saw the light of day after his label, Arista Records, deemed it to be too experimental.
