Her cousins include the world famous Waters Family who were legendary for their outstanding background vocals for some of the music industrys greatest artists such as Marvin Gaye, Neil Diamond, Rick James, and her cousin Johnny Nash ( I Can See Clearly), who worked extensively with Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff, and was instrumental in bringing Reggae to the United States and Britain.

Musical performances were natural to Azuré, and as a young girl in Inglewood California she signed up for every talent show she could find, usually winning them with ease. She entered every available category in order to develop her skills in voice, dance, and acting. As a result, Azuré was quickly known as the local girl on her way to conquer the world. A standout lead singer in Hamilton Highs Gospel Choir, Azuré developed a growing fan club and was called on to perform at larger and more illustrious venues, including UCLA, the House of Blues, the Hollywood Bowl, and eventually private parties for celebrities, including Ozzie Osbourne.

Azuré is young in years but seasoned with experience. She has toured, performed, and appeared on television with first-rate stars like Mary J. Blige, Nelly, Ashanti, Ja Rule, and Jaheim. Among her recent credits Azuré has collaborated with Grammy Award winning songwriter Jason Pooh Bear Boyd (who has written hits for Usher, Toni Braxton, and Amerie), producer Jazze Pha (who has had great success with artists such as Ciara, Missy Elliot, Nelly, and The Notorious B.I.G.) producers Dre and Vidal (whose production credits include Usher, Michael Jackson, and Jill Scott), and producer Battlecat (whose roster of success includes Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre).
