Last week Tony Yayo got arrested for smacking Jimi Henchmen’s son !! Jimi Henchman is Game’s manager and CEO of Czar Entertainment. According to sources, Jimi’s son was on his way to his dad’s office when 50 and Yayo were exiting the Violator office which is one block away. Sources say that 50 saw the 14 year old wearing a Czar shirt and pointed to Yayo to approach the young’n. After yelling and interrogating, Yayo allegedly smacked the kid and shoved him not knowing that it was Jimi’s son. There is also talk that Mike Lighty got stabbed and Violator is alleging that Jimi had something to do with that. I had one of my first internships at Czar Entertainment and I sincerely wish G-Unit and anybody affiliated with them the best of luck. maaannn, I have a really bad feeling this shit is going to get ugly. ... Ill keep you posted as details are confirmed.

In the charts Musiq Soulchild’s “Luvanmusiq” makes its debut in the #1 spot, Lloyd appears on the 2 spot and Rich Boy follows close behind at number 3. Lets see if they can manage to hold their positions. A lot of these albums are making strong debuts only to fall hard, Last week I reported Biggies Greatest Hits grabbed number one its first week and now it’s down to 15. Akon closes out the top 5 with already 18 weeks on the charts and chasing down double platinum. My girl Amy Winehouse is back to black on number 7 and 8ball & MJG ride high at number 8.

Beanie Siegel called in on DJ Absolute’s show and confirmed he’s back at Baseline studios putting in that work on his next album, “The Solution”. Beans tells Abso, "I hear a lot of shots being popped at the Big Homey Hov. I’m here to do what I do. Hit man for hire, here I come." Hmmmm... could he be talking about the whole Dipset beef ? If you ask me, The Broad Street Bully would put it on any one of them. He says he’s not going to speak on it too much right now, but do expect it to go down when his album drops. Did anyone hear that Lil weezy on the "We Takin Over” freestyle ? The flow is crazy and he rips the beat but something he mentioned just wasn’t Kosher and is still bothering me. I mean, its bad enough he dedicates most of his verse to His "Daddy” but then he goes on to admit, for the hundredth time, "Damn right, I kiss my daddy". He goes on my daddy this, my daddy that. First 9th wonder leaves Little Brother then I hear Jurassic 5 break up and now, in even more devastating news, what was to be the new all female super group, which consisted of Remy Ma, Jacki-o and Shawnna has disbanded. Well not entirely but Shawnna, the much nicer of the three, told Chicago’s Power 92.3 that she is leaving the group. What is Hip Hop coming to ?? I swear to you, I did not see that coming.

Shout out Sarah from Mgmt Inc. I attended Maino’s listening party last week for his new Mixtape "The Hand Of God". Below is the review along with Biggie’s “Unbelievable” and J-Loves “Street Savior”.

Los. The one man band man.

Earlier this month it was the 10th anniversary of Biggie’s passing and the mixtapes came out the floodgates. Mick Boogie and Terry Urban’s “Unbelievable” was hands down my favorite. Everything from the beats to the guest appearances carefully put together by Mr. Boogie gave it an authentic sound and not like a compilation thrown together like his other posthumous releases. Throughout the CD his rhymes sound fresh, less like something he wrote 10 years ago and more like if he was in the studio the day before yesterday with your favorite rapper. Listen to "Brooklyn" feat. AZ and “Let The Games Begin” with the late Big L. Other appearances on the tape include Jadakiss and Mobb Deep. But it’s when he joins Jay Z on “The Commission” that had me thinking what could’ve been. Biggie’s verses fall perfectly with the beats sounding like something he would’ve put out somewhere between ready to die and life after death. Peep "On Top" featuring The Game. Extra Hard.

While every one is switching it up, Maino keeps repping New York and shows no signs of budging on his latest mixtape "The Hand Of God". With no freestyles or rapping over tired beats we’ve heard a thousand times, this could’ve easily been an official album. Maino keeps it consistent throughout the album with hard beats and his raw grimy lyrics. Maino is most deadly when he sticks to his guns, literally, on "Got me a gun with a body on it" featuring Uncle Murder. They really shouldn’t be allowed on the same track, it gets ugly. Not even your favorite rap group or rapper turned CEO is safe. On “Take It Like A Man" over a deadly guitar loop, Maino calls everyone out and goes out with the old and in with the new. One listen to the mixtape made me feel like I just came home from a bid, snatched your favorite rappers chain, started some beef, put my borough on my back and dropped a mixtape... all in a NY minute.

On “Street Savior” part 5 J-Love recruits the most consistent, and my favorite Wu member, Ghostface. The DJ now turned producer slash rapper impresses us by getting behind the boards on 3 songs and jumping behind the mic on one. I was surprised, dudes not bad. J-Love keeps us listening throughout the mixtape with gems from Ghost and the Wu affiliates and Beanie Siegel gives us something to hold on to until his next album on "Return Of The Bad Guy". On “Doors Go Up” Tru Life shows us he can do more than just go at Dipset. I think he could’ve done without the G-unit diss songs. I keep hearing the same diss tracks songs on every mixtape. This has to be the wackest beef in the history of wack beefs. Prodigy keeps it New York on "New York shit". Anyone seen the video ? Grimy. Reminds me of the L.A.,L.A. days.
