Another Release Date For Dr. Dre "Detox"
Dr. Dre has conducted his first interview in months to reveal he is looking to release his much delayed "Detox" album before the year is out.
"I’m just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it’s going to be right and it’s something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it," Dr. Dre told USA Today. "In a perfect world, I’m shooting for a November or December release."
Dre says one of the highlights of the upcoming album is the live instrumentation used in his drum lines.
"We have an entirely new thing going with the drums that’s incredible, and we’re still developing that," he added.
The album isn’t even out yet and Dre is already making plans for the future.
"I’m going to put this record out, promote it, tour and then become a hermit, I’m going to stay in the studio and produce," Dre said.
"Detox" is set to feature guest appearances from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Nas, among others.
Dr. Dre’s previous album, 1999’s "2001," has sold around 7.23 million copies in the United States.
