50 cent Before I Self Destruct delayed until 2009
50 Cent’s upcoming album and feature-film "Before I Self-Destruct" have been delayed until early 2009.
The album, which is set to be released packaged with a DVD bonus containing 50 Cent’s 90-minute film directorial debut on the same day as he sophomore video game "Blood in the Sand," has been delayed so that the G-Unit boss can add a little something extra to the album.
"Times are hard. Everyone is trying to make the most of what they have," 50 said in a statement. "I want to give my fans something extra for their hard earned dollars. They’ll get a free bonus when the pick up the album."
Fans who purchase the album upon its release will receive a second DVD titled "Two Turntable And A Microphone: The Life And Death Of Jam Master Jay," a documentary on 50 Cent’s late mentor.
"Before I
Self-Destruct" is 50 Cent’s first release since G-Unit’s "Terminate
On Sight," which received mixed reviews and has sold less than 200,000
copies in the United States since its release. The new album features production
and guest appearances from Dr. Dre and Eminem.
