50 Cent is working on a partnership with News Corp and Myspace
You know that 50 Cent has already proven to be a clever business man with his stake in Vitamin Water bringing him $100 million after the company sold to Coca Cola. But what you don’t know he’s still working hard and is in talks with Murdoch’s News Corp on selling a stake of his 50 Cent Brand to the company.
The partnership is reportedly worth $300 million and would include 50’s music, books and concerts, as well as his G-Unit Records label and artists.
This deal would help would help News Corp launch the company’s label MySpace Records with 50 Cent and his G-Unit roster eventually moving to this new home.
Eurweb also reports that as a part of the deal News Corp will acquire his online community ThisIs50.com, will market and sell the rapper’s touring and will house G-Unit book imprint and music publishing for Fifty and his artists.
Half the deal is said to be in stock, which would make 50 Cent one of the largest shareholders of News Corp. The deal is expected to be finalized next year, after the rapper fulfills his contract requirements with Interscope Records.
