50 Cent has lost out to Kanye West, Cancels Tour

... and also says He Didn’t Enjoy Releasing New Album

50 Cent is expected to lose to Kanye West by approximately 125,000 copies when the final tallies for their head-to-head competition are announced. 50 Cent vowed to quit if West won, later he even threaten to go to war with West’s label, Def Jam Records. Now the rapper says the music game isn’t exciting anymore.

SOHH.com reports that 50 Cent said, "After a while it’s not exciting. I’m not really excited to go sell a record. I probably won’t even put another album out. If I do put it out, I probably won’t travel to promote it. The actual release of this record wasn’t pleasant for me."

When asked if he was burned out, the G-Unit rapper said, "Not burned out, I just feel like I don’t wanna do it anymore. It’s the first time I ever told people publicly. I’ve been feeling that way for a while."

50 Cent has already started to make excuses in case he loses the battle. He told New York’s WQHT-FM’s Angie Martinez, "To be honest the process of selling this record hasn’t been fun. I’m happy with the performance, but I’m not happy with the set up. We had conference calls and after we created this plan, nobody actually had a plan."

The rapper also shared that he may be leaving Interscope Records after fulfilling his contractual obligations with his next album. 50 Cent explained, "It was the label. They’re dropping the ball all over the place. I’ll release my next album and then I’m a free agent."

The rapper also canceled two major international music events, citing "unforeseen and unanticipated" circumstances. The rapper - who vowed to retire if rival Kanye West beat him in the album charts last week - has pulled out of performing at the MOBOs and the Vodafone Live Music Awards in London.

Currently West is projected to sell between 650,000-750,000 copies while 50 Cent is projected to sell between 500,000-600,000 copies. West moved 437,000 copies of Graduation its first day in stores to jump out in front.

The latest single from Curtis is Follow My Lead featuring Robin Thicke.

Update (09.19.2007): Kanye outsells 50 Cent with 957 000 units sold
