50 Cent Pays Out Over Photographer Assault
50 Cent has been ordered to pay an undisclosed amount after losing a lawsuit filed against him by a photographer.
Jim Alcorn, deputy photo assignment editor for the New York Post, filed the lawsuit against the Hip-Hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, back in August 2003 claiming he was knocked to the ground by one of Jackson’s security guards as they left a jewelry shop.
According to the New York Post 50 Cent had just purchased a $18,000 watch from Jacob The Jeweler. Although 50 Cent was not accused of issuing the attack, it was claimed he encouraged the other men to physically attack Alcorn.
Alcorn was taken to hospital following the incident where he was found to have neck and jaw injuries.
"A settlement was reached and all parties are satisfied," said Alcorn’s lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein.
A spokesperson for the rapper simply stated, "It’s a legal issue that’s
been settled."
